Columbus, OH - East Broad Street and McNaughten Rd First, yes, enjoy the wonderful NPR piece on how animals in the wild become pink, orange or even blue. This particular intersection is extremely dangerous when turning left (as the lady was doing in the silver car). Oncoming traffic has a right hand turn lane that feeds off of a freeway. Typically, people will speed down this lane past all the stopped cars (usually a quarter mile long) to turn right onto McNaughten. It looked as though the silver car was trying to clear the intersection as the dump truck was preparing to turn right. If I'm not mistaken, the dump truck had a green right turn arrow at this time and probably would not have been able to see the silver car due to the line of traffic (even if he is higher up). Sorry I didn't capture it, but he barely avoided hitting the pole holding up the traffic lights and instead dented a business's sign. As far as I know, everyone seemed fine. He looked pissed off more than anything (maybe a little dazed) and she looked confused and scared but otherwise unharmed. There's also a major hospital literally on that corner behind the Walgreens.
