That's a hell of a lot of work and fuel going into that job!
Its interesting, but looks like it would get boring really quick! -
the iconic purple accents 👍 I live near Rosenort and every time I see a pan I look for colors. always take pride knowing that's a MB product even though I don't build them.

just get and old terex push pull and be done

What is the benefit over using more tradition power units when pulling the pans? To keep costs down I would think a draw bar arrangement on the back of a Volvo dump pulling a 2 wheel sulky would work well. It would also avoid the expense of taking the trailer bed off.
OR
Mount the 5th wheel arrangement in the dump bed of the Volvo. This would add some traction and again save time and expense - of course disable the dump lift and chain the bed down while using the truck in this configuration.
Am I off base?
Thanks! -
I would like to get several of those

2.5 minutes is a bit to long in the cut compared to traditional scrapers. 57s push pulling are cutting for no longer than 60s, 51s 20 to 30 tripling dirt moved. They may haul more at once but traditonal scrapers move fast cut quicker

In the tandem configuration can the operator see either cutting edge ?

I didn't quite get what this job is about.... Are they flattening the landscape for agriculture? Or digging a lake?
