Dr. Wael Zaki, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering Competition Description: The aim of BAJA SAE competition is to allow the engineering student to design challenging projects that will replicate real life engineering design. Students will build, test, and drive an off-road vehicle that should withstand all kinds of terrain. In our project, the vehicle was built in such a way that meets all the constraints of the Baja SAE design requirements and achieves the goal, which was to build a functional, safe, and economical vehicle. The team was divided into sub-groups (Structure, Suspension, Steering, Braking and Power-Train). By the end of competition, the overall outcome and performance of the buggy was pretty fulfilling. No major difficulties were faced during the whole event. The team gained a tremendous amount of experience, and enjoyed the project Awards & Achievements: 29th / 90 in Dynamic Events 59th / 90 in Overall Performance Participated in IDEX event Participated in Think Science event Participated in Emirati Skills event
