Summer Projects 2011 in Networked Control Systems at the Automatic Control Lab in KTH Royal Institute of Technology. Several students worked on hacking a toy heavy-duty vehicle from Tamiya and the ARDrone quadrotor to make a multi-agent testbed. The heavy-duty vehicles have infrared sensors to know the distance to the vehicle ahead and their position is achieved by cameras placed in the ceiling. The sensors and actuators communicate over wireless with a base computer running Labview. The communication is made over low-power wireless sensor nodes.
