Ever wondered what an A.M.E. does in Australia? Well this will give you an idea of what they do and how important they are to the Australian economy.......Often forgotten hardworkers behind the scenes...Yet they are the people that make YOU safe to fly......You dont get off the ground until a Licensed A.M.E. says so with their signature....NO L.A.M.E. = NO FLY !

Hi , I would advise that you approach any Part 147 CASA Recognised Organisation (RO) who will carry out an assessment of your ratings and give you RPL (recognised prior learning) and they will also let you know what locale Australian licence top up training you may or may not need. Please be advised each of the RO's are business's and will have charges to apply. I can not comment on the costings as they would be individual. Hope that helps you.

We not share the same scenario here in Malaysia.. For local engineer we only get paid around 780.520 Australian Dolar.. But still we must face the syllabus of BCAR and have to pass the oral exam.

Maths, Hopefully some science (Physics ideally), English as the three Ideal basics.....Then you have the fundamentals that would make you an ideal candidate. (Remember these subjects can be represented by other allied subject topics that provide the grounding necessary to get on with training.)

Anywhere between basic $40K to $143K; dependent upon experience, Aircraft Type, Little company...or Big company...What quals you have ..Whether you do days, shifts, nights..Are you on call...location...Mechanical, Avionics or structures qualified, Fixed or Rotary ..to name but a few topics that determine the amount of $ you might earn! but hopefully, you will understand that it is a profession and is unique, in which engineers take pride as part payment along with a sense of responsibility.
