This sound "thing" seems to generate an awful lot of half orders noise. Exactly how many cylinders does the engine have?. Cause you can't tell by listening to it.
By analysing the noise, it seems that a 4 cylinder engine is posing as a 5 cylinder engine with the fuse on.
The math would be: I hear the gear shift with fuse off at 166 Hz (my fft analyser does), which for a 4 cylinder engine would mean 5000 rpm. Sounds very reasonable. I also hear the gear shift with fuse on at 200 Hz, which at 5000 rpm would mean a 2.5 order, which is very odd for a 4 cylinder engine to have, but naturally occurring in a 5 cylinder engine... -

I have no idea why they put those in cars. My GTI sounds way better without the soundaktor. Disconnected it and am so glad that I did.

so with the fuse it sounds worse and they didn't get rid of the horrible automatic shift sound, but louder? isn't that 6 year old logic, i am louder so i am better kinda deal?

Set up your seat so that your shoulders don't get pushed so far behind. Doesn't bmw do this aswell ?

The car sounds much better without the fuse. The sound is more in tune and you can hear the burble on shifts. The sound actuator just makes the car sound disconnected. I'm sure it must feel like that a bit too?
