Excerpt 2(of 2). The band's line up is; Spizz (Kenneth Spears) - vocals, guitar James Little (Jim Solar) bass, keyboards, vocals Clive Parker (CP Snare) - Drums Lu Edmonds - guitar, vocals Lu Edmonds from The Damned (& PIL) was the replacement guitarist for Dave Scott. James Little is playing some of Mark Coalfield's keyboard parts, (who'd left the band). This same line up toured the USA with 999, Siouxsie, (and solo dates), and made the 'Spikey Dream Flowers' album (as The Spizzles). At this gig the band sound a bit sloppy, although there is some inspired bass playing from James Little, superb guitar work from Lu, and the usual tour-de-force from Spizz. Interruptions are due to ice/snow being thrown at the band, and a padlock thrown on-stage. The original recording was made on cassette, although there was surprising little hiss. The hum is from the guitar amps, and not the tapes. Archiving equipment is Korg D32XD hard-disk recording, Adam P33A monitoring, and Sony Vegas-7 Editing. The photos and memorabilia are from my own collection, from the period. Songs; Spock's Missing Red & Black Soldier Soldier Clocks are Big (Machines are Heavy) Where's Captain Kirk Work The additional song of Virginia Plain (the band's final encore) is unfortunately missing, but, you can hear Jim twiddling with the keyboard, lining it up, at the end. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Furry-records/133060613518051 Clive Parker - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clive_Parker Spizzenergi - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spizzenergi All songs; Spizzenergi / Athletico Spizz 80 - no reproduction without permission
