Machines | Are perpetual motion machines possible?

A wheel that spins forever; a bird that never quenches its thirst; a clock that never stops ticking, an endless source of free energy. These are but the dreams of inventors striving to make perpetual motion machines, machines that can work forever without any energy input. Are these machines possible without violating the laws of physics? No. http://physicsgirl.org/ http://twitter.com/thephysisgirl http://facebook.com/thephysicsgirl http://instagram.com/thephysicsgirl Help us translate our videos! http://www.youtube.com/timedtext_cs_panel?c=UC7DdEm33SyaTDtWYGO2CwdA&tab=2 Unbalanced wheel designed, laser cut and assembled by engineer Kyle Kitzmiller - kylekitzmiller.com Writer: Sophia Chen Editors: Jabril Ashe and Dianna Cowern Host: Dianna Cowern Weather footage: NASA Goddard Zimara’s Windmill drawing: Burton Lee Potterveld Cox’s Timepiece drawing - Mr. Cox’s Perpetual Motion, a Prize in the Museum Lottery, single sheet, 225mm. x 174mm., full-page engraving with letterpress on verso, London, 1774. What about orbit? Of course all stars have a life expectancy and will eventually obliterate things that orbit them. However, suppose I set a small satellite in orbit around a larger one in free space, is there any reason for that motion to stop?

The reason the patient office does not want free energy is they want to maintain control of peoples lives. and the education system of America is under the control of these elits

sorry lady you are not the inventer and yes it does work if you build it right, stop lying to people

FUCKER YOU BITTI

yeah, and you will also say that quantum physics is imposible. a particle being in two places at the same time; that of course violates the laws of physics. you should tell that to the scientist trying to create quantum computers. new inventions will have to come out of un combentional sciense. grow up and welcome to the 21st century.

could drinking birds be a cheaper alternative to solar panels? they could even be in the shade, so they work longer

So WAIT a HHO generator is NOT free energy because it uses "water" just like you bird is NOT because it uses the "ambient" temperature in the room ?
In that case the usage of PERMANENT MAGNETS would still not be "Free Energy" because it uses a magnetic field as energy to make it work ? -

it is not impossible. think of it like water and shadows. if you look at the spinning ballerina, you can't tell which direction she spins because she is a shadow. this illustrates the motion cycle... water goes from liquid to vapor to liquid. this is the perpetuate cycle. her spinnig is the synchronizing mechanism for both cycles

hmm peculiar ringfinger ☻ (conspiracy)theories anyone? triggered? :P

My channel have real perpetual motion machine that run forever!!!!!
-
you can make a perpetual motion machine with magnets
-
are magnets out of the picture?

climate change is not real

Perhaps the solar system is a perpetual motion machine. It's orbits and rotations outlive us.

I don't believe anyone should be trying to create a perpetual motion machine. Instead we should first develop the ability to harness over 95% of power for most day to day things. The energy efficiency on most things is quite terrible, for example cars.
If we can harness the suns energy 100%, or close enough, say 95%, we've gotten possibly the only nessacary power supply. The world will end when the sun does, whilst humans may have lived far FAR away from the sun by that point, we should focus on what can last us the next few million, billion or however many years. -
to be fair to the Oxford bell, it's not perpetual. it is an extremely impressive battery, though. it's been working nearly uninterrupted for over a century.

Reminds me of the wheel of buckets water pump seen in movie "Firefly Light" (Fireflies, Hotarubi, 1958) (Director: Heinosuke Gosho) near 0h0m22s and 1h59m22s

Is leverage a form of free energy? Try to lift your car when you have a flat tire by yourself. Can't be done. Now get your jack out and like magic you can now lift your car. It's called leverage. Can you run 20 miles an hour? No, probably not. However, get on your bike and peddle really fast and I bet you can now go about 20 miles an hour on a flat surface. The bike doesn't have any energy of it's own but it enables you to go faster than you could by yourself. So, you are able to go faster than you could if you were simply running by doing nothing more than riding your bike. The bike doesn't have any outside power sources except your peddle power... Yet the bike enables you to leverage your own personal power to go faster than you could on your own. So, you are able to go further and faster without using any additional energy. Right? So, if this is true then every time you use a jack to lift your car or ride a bike to go faster than you could by running or walking you are in violation of the so called Law of Conservation of Energy.
