Learn how to put in sound deadening and heat reflective material into your car. In this case I was preventing a common wet carped problem due to condensation. The exhaust runs right under the floorboards and causes a lot of condensation and over time that causes the carpets to get damp. Sound deadener insulation I used: http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/sku/Univ/Design_Engineering/Sound_Dampening_Material/D43050501.html **If the video was helpful, remember to give it a "thumbs up" and consider subscribing. Why not replace that nasty carpet while everything is apart? Is that mold for gods sake? Ick.

DEI is a great company, they make great insulators. I've insulated my underhood 1/0 AWG power and ground cables, jumped a whole volt due to less resistance caused by heat. Now, before I've installed my new carpet I put some sound deadener and a foam pads above it, I still get some condensate on the carpet don't know where it's coming from. Secondskin sell some underbody thermal-coating that can go between the exhaust pipes and the body, this shouild also fix this problem and also keep the cabin ambient temperature low. Thanks for the video, Chris!

That would cut some noise on highway

I watched your video because I am a subscriber, but also because I am adding hardwood vinyl stick on, in the back of my Van. So I've been putting installation what not. Now that I've seen this vid. I'm gonna purchase this product. ... any who I was wondering if you have any suggestions to offer me in regards to do with a small raises area where the wheel wells are...

Yuck... putting the carpet back as-is.
edit: I see it's "not a carpet cleaning video." So the video could have stopped at 8:40 . Honestly. -
hey Chrisfix off topic but I fixed my rear main seal on my 00' ranger 3.0 and now my right bank head gasket is leaking oil. engine is sound as it was rebuilt 6 years ago. should I get a new head or used if this one ends up being warped ? my serpentine belt snapped and my temp climbed and I was able to pull into a gas station in less than a quarter mile, the water was boiling unfortunately. could I have warped my head? if so that serpentine belt left unattended is now more expensive... thanks for the vids hope to see you test drive the new Elio!
