Maintaining an RV in top condition requires a lot of time, care and effort. Our motorhome turned 10 years old this month, and here are all of the annual service and cleaning tasks that we perform. Background track: Spanish Summer from Audionautix.com Full-Time RVers since April 11, 2003, we share DIY (do it yourself) RV maintenance, repair, travel, upgrade and operational tips & tricks. While we're not RV technicians, we're very mechanically inclined and have learned a lot about RV systems over the years. We've handled most of our own minor service, maintenance and upgrade work on both of our RVs. We meet lots of newer RVers who are eager to learn some basics about using, maintaining and caring for their rigs. After more than a decade on the road, we're happy to share what we've learned (some of it the hard way). ;-) We hope our experience can help other RVers go DIY, saving time & money while experiencing the satisfaction of a job well done. We're handy RVers, not professional technicians. We're happy with the techniques and products we use, but be sure to confirm that all methods and materials you use are compatible with your equipment and abilities. Regardless of what we recommend, consult a professional if you're unsure about working on your RV. Any task you perform or product you purchase based on any information we provide is strictly at your own risk. We sometimes receive products for evaluation at no cost, but our opinions are our own and we only feature products we personally use, love and can recommend to friends with complete confidence. Advice from an ex detailer....forget about wax and buy a good sealant such as carpro relaod. Spray on and wipe off much easier than any wax and lasts around 3-4 months. 1 bottle would do that whole rig twice if used with an applicator pad.

Nice video thanks, do you recommend the same method to clean a fifth wheel? 😎
-
I could listen to your voice for hours! LOL I have seen you talk about Dicor a few times. I will be picking up our new to us rig (1993 Pace arrow) this week and would like to seal any issues. I was on the roof last week and did not see any leaks, but I did see some cracking. Is the Dicor needed just the Dicor self leveling Tap Sealant? Thanks so much for your videos! You guys rock!

How do you keep the underside so clean?
-
Now that we have a rig this video makes more sense than it did a year ago. Thanks for helping out the newbies.

Very informative. One note, are you aware you're much more "personable" in videos where you are visible? Not necessarily better/worse; just information seems to be more "instructional" when you're only the off-screen narrator.

I love how you all keep the RV to clean and neat. Make sense when owning a nice vehicle like this. Great job! How long are you all longest RV's?
-
What do you use to clean the cabinets inside the motor home?
-
my task will be finding another (super hauler not brand name) RV over 30ft

Great information

I have a 2005 Newmar and it has an awning that is not vinyl. How do I clean that?
-
Great video. Very clear and concise information with quality video documenting each step of the task.
What more could you ask for? -
This video opened my eyes to more stuff, thank you!
-
how do I lube my window and door seals
-
Is there any prep work, such as draining all the air from the system, prior to changing the air dryer cartridge?
I have an '06 Dutch Star with many of the same systems and locations of devices as your Mountain Aire... makes it extra easy to follow along your great videos! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience. -
RVgeeks not gooks.

RVgooks, does your electric pressure washer make a lot of noise? I have a small one (ryobi) and it is a bit noisy. Thanks
-
thanks guys -------- you are a treasure-trove of great tips and information.
I see you recycle old shirts and socks as rags. Good idea, although that waxing sock looked better than some in my drawer. Maybe it doesn't have a mate. Do socks still go missing in RV washers?
