On July 30, 2012, Amtrak #59 was heading south out of Jackson, MS. At approximately 11:30am at the Elton Road crossing near I-55, the Amtrak train crashed into a dump truck. The driver of the dump truck suffered injuries in the accident. One passenger aboard the train supposedly hit their head. All video, pictures, and editing by KGP (age 10). Please leave a comment!

You are correct. The train was going about the speed limit of 79 m.p.h. It was a hard hit for him, but not us. All we did was lose a headlight!

Good lord! Look how far away the wheel was from the impact zone!! That thing was hit freakin hard!

Yeah, it is good footage. The waiter in the dining car said if the truck were loaded, the train would have derailed.
