My wife and I took a ride with my daughter and her husband out to Conondale to pick up our Christmas orders for hams and lamb from Baranbali organic farm. Conondale is in the Sunshine Coast hinterland and is a beautiful spot with many farms in the area. They are suffering at the moment from a lack of rain after two years of record rainfalls, we have had little rain in the last six months or so and the summer usually our wet season is starting to look uncomfortably dry. Being certified organic means a lot of hard work but produces beautiful tender meat. The pigs and lambs seen here will inevitably end up on the dinner plate. The farm raises the stock and then sends them for slaughter and then to the butcher for making up into sausages,hams and various cuts of lamb.Baranbali farm has a Facebook page for any of you that want to see or know more.
