Machines | 87 Chevy Truck Project Update - Flowmaster Exhaust Sound - 20 December 2013
videos | at work | information | view | construction
Stepping away from the "Squirter Project" and back to the 87 Chevy Truck. I go over the LS 5.3 with 4.8 flat top pistons that will be installed into the truck, a 60/40 bench with folding console that I plan to install and few other lil things that I've been working on it... like installing HEAT! That was important... Below are some of the 5.3 swap videos on this truck that were made after this point. Close look at the home ported 862 heads with LS1 valves: http://youtu.be/kmkiGiJvtc8 Torquing the heads down with eBay head studs: http://youtu.be/qTbDUszSC40 Priming the engine with a home made external oil primer: http://youtu.be/thfTnYdeNz8 First start-up on engine stand: http://youtu.be/VogkaVNGkCU Here's the first start-up video once we got this engine in the truck: http://youtu.be/2OqPI6coEpI To see all of my playlists of my projects, click here: https://www.youtube.com/user/AGearHead4Life/playlists?shelf_id=13&view=50&sort=dd ================================= The latest GearHead T-shirt! First... Congrats on leaving the bottle behind. Second... nice project... I have an 86' with the quad headlights... been thinking about dropping it... Question? I want to leave the stock springs in and use the drop spindles... will I have tire clearance issues with the stock rally wheels?

Hey man, really awesome sound. I was wondering if you've had any thoughts on the Flowmaster Super 10 series? I'm looking to grab a couple tomorrow for my 84 C15 with a 5.7. Hoping they sound good, but I appreciate your advice over most people's.

I have the same year P/U except mine is a long bed. What brand name headers do you have ? You can get your A/C wiring harness from the salvage, painless wiring or American Autowire to name a few. Just trying to help.

For my first truck I'm getting something kind of like this, its a maroon/red 72 Chevy C-10 and its long wheel based. I don't know why but older and more square trucks have always stood out to me and the C-10s look amazing. Nice truck by the way, I'm liking the color a lot!

I just got a 1988 Chevy C3500 with the 454 Big block. I'll be very honest, I just loved the truck but I have very little knowledge of the engine and truck in general. First project ever!
