Here's one for all the diesel fanatics. I was with my uncle today changing a fan belt on his work truck, a 2007 Peterbilt 357 tri-axle heavy hauler SBFA with a 565 Cummins ISX engine and an 18-speed Eaton-Fuller trans. This was after the belt was on and we were letting it idle to make sure it wasn't rubbing the idler pulley. I know it's not as great of an engine as the old NTC series Big Cam 400 or the N14 or what have you, but this is actually one of the very last Cummins ISX engines made before the 2007 EPA emission laws were passed, so this engine actually does not have a DPF unit like the newer ones. It is a very strong running engine and has about 300,000 miles on it now. My uncle hauls stone, topsoil, fill, sand, feed, and mulch for a living, so this truck is his baby and it's always kept clean. Been a long time since I've gone to work with him but this truck runs strong and hauls ass with Eaton 3:90 rears in it.
