Great video donyboy I know that eventually the gear is going bad but what if a grease fitting was placed on the gear box to prevent premature wear.

Thank you very much Don for you help.

What is the best way to paint the auger and inside the blower so it won't rust out so fast? I'd imagine spray paint but that usually doesn't go on as thick as brushing it on would be.

Thanks for the step-by-step process. I am currently working on a Craftsman 522, which is extremely similar. I really enjoy your commentary, and all the attention to detail. Keep up the outstanding videos!

Very helpful thanks. I was watching for info regarding a honda rotavator gear. Your video is much the same principle.
Cheers. -
itty bitty blower. nice three part video.

Please note that the little half-moon piece that connects the shaft to the brass gear is the KEY. The slots in the shaft and the gear hub are the keyWAYS.

what would cause the impeller shaft to move back and forth ? so much so that the impeller blades scrape the back of the auger housing and the auger pulley hits the engine frame ? Its a 29 inch 9.0 Craftsman

I have a pulley that is bent and with a pin in the shaft I can't pull it off the shaft stuck and frustrated. Any advise would be greatly appreciated
