Love your channel. Great videos

You're selling his favorite tractor. That's why he's in a bad mood. Rrrrriiiight Tim?
-
It would make him an awesome Christmas and birthday present and cover the next 5 years of them! Haha. Don't blame him for being partial to it! 4960's are sweet tractors!
-
I like Tim. He can be moody but he's a good kid.

I don't know if you have any Vo Ag classes in your area for high school students, but in my area these old tractors are favorite farm shop projects for them. If they can get one donated they spend year or two rebuilding it, and then sell or raffle them off to pay for the costs, plus they make a little extra for trips or scholarship programs. Glad to see that you are rebuilding it, if for no other reason than family memories.

Are you going to reuse your old tin? Most of it looks easily fixable. If you have pieces that aren't useable I would look for some used tin that you can fix. I am finishing a full restoration of a Massey 135 and tried to use aftermarket tin. Its a horrible fit and it seems to be true for all brands of tractors. It was easier in the end just to fix what I had.

As a dad, there is no greater joy than to spend time working with your children.
-
hello. For you who is kinda complaining that its not worth to restore it and such.. He said in a early video he wouldnt do it if it wasent for youtube. He is just doing it cus many of us like to see projects like these. And if the tractor has been on the farm for 3-4 generations I understand he got a attachment to it.
-
love the video wes. looks almost as bad of a project like the 4960 build after the fire. I know that 4010 will be right after you get done with it. would make a great pulling tractor project.

jd 466
-
Open the trans before getting too deep into it. Then, since you are planning to replace the engine, see if you can shoehorn a JD 466 from a 30 series in it.
-
I might have a set of good used rear fenders for that tractor, I'll never use them, and I'd like to see them put to good use.
-
so pretty much the only thing you dont need for it is a trans, and a rear lol
-
wangerts of Myerstown i live 15 minutes from them guys they do great work!
-
Fixin' days are back/

Pull your pants up sasquatch
-
The M looked like it was a easier restoration than the 4010.
-
Tim should buy the JD 7960.
-
Everything you need for this tractor can be had from New Paris Tractor Parts in Indiana. Good used or repro. Just sayin'
-
Needs more money dumped in it than it will ever be worth. If it wouldn't have been kept outside it probably wouldn't cost as much to fix. I'd convert it to a wide front though. Would make a good hay raking tractor.
