The burning of the 2nd Engineer Battalion Colors was a somber reminder of the heroics at Kunu Ri during the Korean War where 2nd Engineers held the back Chinese forces so the 2nd Infantry could fall back. So the Chinese couldn't claim 2nd Engineers colors they were ordered to burn. Of the original 977 Engineers only 266 remained after the battle. The rest either gave their lives or spent the reminder of the war in POW camps. Hearing the Veterans story and the reading off of some of the Engineers that were Killed in Action or Missing in Action pull some of my strings. Sorry about the potato quality of the video.
