DISCLAIMER: I do not live in the U.S. I can somewhat understand the suggestion on engraving cars into American culture, although it still sounds a little idealistic. However, moving the HQ from Wolfsburg to Detroit? That's a pretty bold statement, implying that America is Volkswagen's most concentrated market. I'm nitpicking though, so back to reality.

Roman needs to get his head out of his butt. Comments about draping itself in the American flag are just stupid. It's German and that's what people like about it. And if they did do that, he would complain that the car had become too American. And the comment about moving to Detroit is just as bad.... Just plain dumb. Yeah, they need to get Diesel gate behind them and it would be nice to get the redesigned German version.

To solve VW's problems? #1) frontline documentary, that's a great idea. But 2) and 3) please don't take the German out of the VW!!! We have plenty of American cars that do a fine job with engineering, we don't need the German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, etc, cars to be anything other than the foreign and vastly different vehicles that they are. Variety is the spice of life!!!

This has become my new favorite family sedan with excellent driving characteristics. I actually look for them when I am renting cars these days, after enjoying one by accident. It is quiet, strong, handles accurately and its fun to drive.

It drives me absolutely bonkers that the power symbol on the volume knob doesn't stay straight and spins around freely with the knob!
