My 96 taco is still running strong
-
The price of these midsize trucks has got to come down if they want to compete with their full size counterparts
-
That access cab at 2:01 looks a lot better than the overrated double cab soccer mom cabs

So mister Chief Engineer...does this new Tacoma finally have headlight lenses which don't melt during normal use along with an engine starting system which starts 100% of the time with at least a 60% state of health battery? I can't stand when my 2nd gen decides not to start when the near term ambient temperature and air density changes. Hopefully those basic customer expectations are met this time, and aren't going to be abandoned or unaddressed latent defects again. I'm sure customers really don't care about vortex generators...any data to release yet on their effectiveness? Potential customers...demand the data on how these things improve the performance. Fuel efficiency is only marginally improved when you look at it from the top down.
I also checked out your 3 piece bumper today...its layered plastics and composites!!! That's all it is! Probably costs about $40 to $60 to produce now... Garbage bumper.
Otherwise it's seems like it should be a great truck. -
BUYER BEWARE ! Toyota Frames RUST through ! I have a 2007 Tacoma and the frame is a rusty piece of shit. Toyota refuses to do anything to make it right. Look up Rusty Frames Tacoma ! You find thousands of Tacoma owners with the same problem. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER TOYOTA AGAIN ! If you have frame rot on your Tacoma post every place

Hey guys, I love my new 2016 TRD Sport in Inferno and it's impressive to see all the detail that went into keeping the ride quiet, however, I can't believe the wind tunnel didn't pick up the noise being generated by the lower control arms. I kept hearing this howling around 45 mph and researched it on TacomaWorld and found other owners were having the same issue. I don't know how someone figured it out, but it was the holes in the drivers side control arm that was generating the annoyance. Some guys have plugged the holes, I chose to place duct tape over them (hoping Toyota has a service update on the issue). I don't want to trap moisture in the arm, but I can't deal with the noise. Other than that, I believe it offers a quieter ride then my C300 Benz that I traded in for it. Good Job Overall! Can you believe I almost bought the Colorado? What was I thinking?

I had an extended cab T-100 back in 2004, and I decided to sell it. 30 minutes after parking it on the street in front of my house with a for sale sign in the window, a guy rang my doorbell, took it for a test drive and gave me my asking price.
I took the money and ordered a brand new, loaded 4Runner Sport in lunar silver with the 4.7-liter V-8. I'm still driving the 4Runner. It has had zero problems, and still runs like new - and my next door neighbor has been begging me to sell it to him when I'm ready for a new truck.
I wish Toyota still offered a V-8 4Runner, and I wish the company would make their car designs sportier (like the Supra). My next vehicle will probably be a Highlander (because of its styling, ease of entry/exit, and all the technology options - blind spot warning, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise, bluetooth, MP3, GPS, rear view camera, etc.). -
my 07 tacoma trd sport had 300,000 plus miles on it. original motor, tranny, replaced the drive shaft, still very strong in the sense of power and torque. I tried to get it stuck countless times. the only way to have any fun with it mudding was to leave it in 2wd lol. It wasn't lifted, had the BF Goodrich all terrains. Even buried it to the doors in mud (in 2wd) and couldn't get it stuck. I loved it. my buddies not so much, having to pull their jeeps, f150s out. I have a 16 trd sport now. inferno orange.

Redesigned the rear bumper but didn't put a step on it. Hard to get into when the tailgate is down... doh

No shitting I went up a 100ft river embankment with a 80 degree bend half way up, covered in snow the same steepness and the truck didn't spin out or lose power once. I was so impressed and proud of my truck that day that I know I'll be keeping the Tacoma for years.
