The 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata is a two door roadster with 155 horsepower and 148 lb-ft of torque, delivered through a 6 speed manual transmission (6 speed auto is offered) to the rear wheels via an optional limited slip differential (manual Club trim). All trims feature a 2.0L SkyActiv DOHC 4-cyl engine. The Club version features Bilstein shocks, wider high performance tires, and a front shock tower brace. Is the 4c heavier in the US compared with the one in Europe? Here in Europe an Mx-5 with the 2.0L is 1090Kg vs the 970 of the alfa!

Anyone doubting the cheapness of the Mazda hasn't seen any other mazdas, they constantly are lauded on the rich and beautiful interiors of their cars, the only reason anything isn't the same level of rich interior is for weight saving

motoman did a comprehensive series about mazda cars with the the mazda engineers and designers. Including the 3, 6, cx 3, cx5 and of course miata. If you really wanted to learn everything about skyactiv engineering i suggest you turn to those videos.
