Not one to forgo an opportunity, Trent holds qualifications in three separate trades after most recently completing the Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology at Kurri Kurri campus. The father of two started his mechanical career in 2006 as a marine craft construction apprentice and qualified as shipwright in 2008. In 2014, Trent was named as Komatsu’s inaugural National Apprentice of the Year and has placed first at each stage of his apprenticeship at Hunter TAFE. Trent is planning to continue studies in the plant industry by gaining qualifications in the Certificate IV in Heavy Vehicle Mobile Equipment.
