Using ether on a pony start? Shouldn't be necessary. Let it run for about 5 minutes to warm the intake good, then roll it over to build oil pressure. When you reach that point, then continue to roll for about 5 seconds before advancing the throttle. Should light off. Ether for these is a waste. I have yet to ether a pony start anything.
