1927 Indiana Motor Truck, model 127, This truck was put into storage in mid 1930's. It is original, unrestored, with 12459 miles. Not even broke in yet. It rides on Goodyear hard rubber tires, with the rear tire being wider than the front. We watch the Indiana earn its keep, doing what it was intended to do. It passes the camera with a load of dirt, and dumps it at the pit. We then watch an Oshkosh pass the Indiana on the dirt road. Indiana Truck Corp built trucks from 1910-1933 in Marion, IN. From 1928-1932, Indiana Trucks was controlled by Brockway. In 1932, White purchased Indiana Truck Corp for there good name and dependability. Up till Saturday, 8/13/2011 I have never seen or heard of Indiana Motor Trucks. Video was taken at the HCEA National Pike Equipment & Steam Show, in Brownsville, PA. 8/13/2011 This is the OLDEST dump truck I ever filmed, and here is a link to the LARGEST dump truck I ever filmed, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTYz8rOmG9Q In this video clip, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eqaCsvqk8IA , we see a 1931 Chain drive Mack AC pass the Indiana... Thanks for watching, Jackmp294.5™...

Poor old hard worker. Stop working. Have a rest
-
3 cubic foot dump bed? Might want to switch to a wheelbarrow.
-
yaşlı bir dedenin eline baston alıp yürümesine benziyor
-
The 18 mph speed restriction would have been because of the solid rubber tyres. At speeds over 25 mph, they were prone to slipping and flying off the rims
-
I also saw a 1953 Mack dump truck

the Indiana Truck factory was located in Marion, Indiana from WWI-1935. It was owned by my 2nd GGF Charles William Barley.

wonderfull past in future.

welcome to my back yard. Do believe this was filmed at the National Pike Steam show in Brownsville PA. My home is maybe 1/10 of a mile behind those trees. lovely racket twice a year. Damn good food though

Check out the Dubs on that truck! Wa-a-a-ay ahead of its time. But the hard rubber tires? Like Series 25
-
don't they mean 3 1/2 cubic yards, not feet?
-
It is more valuable left as is. In its original state.

Классный грузовик!!!

Those are some really expensive Tonka trucks, LOL!!! Nice to see them working though.
-
Really nice. It's good to see these old machines running and working as they were meant to be!

How does the dump bucket work? I don't see it being hydraulics.

That is awesome ,,, a truck in that condition unrestored,,,,,,,, and we don't have digger shows like this in the U.K,,, yes vintage vehicles etc,,, but they only go round the ring,,,,, or are lined up,,,, nothing actually doing what they where designed for ,,,,,, thanks for sharing

I am surprized that it still has its original hard rubber tires. I would have thought they would have perished by now. Great to see this.

Interesting truck. I saw an old Ford Model T truck at National Train Day this year just as an Amtrak was pulling in. Do you like trucks similar to how you like trains? Because I know that you drove an 18 wheeler. I like pickup trucks as my favorite truck although IMO, trains are the best.
