    I think the relaxing vibes( almost peacefulness) of distant gunfire is similar to chrysalism. Maybe when we hear distant gunfire our brains tell us that there is chaos, confusion, and maybe even death somewhere, but not where we are. Obviously we are in a peaceful environment, if it wasn't the gunfire wouldn't be distant. Just a theory I've had since I was young watching war movies, enjoying the ambience of distant battles.
