around the 22:00 mark, i understand the proposed framework for sign convention of FBD if taken on face value, but my intuition tells me that -kx is displacement upwards and so F_spring would be downwards? Or a displacement downwards results (+kx) results in F_spring upwards?

This Prof explains a million times better than my NUS professor. A few hours of lectures explain Dynamics so much better than a few weeks with my professor. Thanks for the video!!
-
Why do you need to turn it in to polar coordinate? is it because the object is moving?
-
Has allowing students to watch these videos and test out of lower level courses been considered by... anyone? Would MIT ever consider letting non admitted students take something like a CLEP exam for these classes, get transfer credit, and apply it to a degree? I would definitely pay for the exam, I can't get into MIT, and it would be a win win for both of us.

The stories end at around 12:00 min.

Thank you MIT OCW
-
thank your uploading this for us!
-
This is like 6th grade algebra/physics if you dont count references to time derivatives...
-
the video is good when normal and even more better in 1.25 speed
-
"Let's get on with some dynamics" :)

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND DEDICATION PROFFESSOR!
-
are these lessons for bs or ma ?
-
he mentioned that the relative velocity will be the same wherever it's observed by an inertia pt, but will it still the same if the observing pt has an acceleration?
may somebody answer me? thanks -
does any body knows the text book for this cours???
-
why the fk would people complain about chalkboard noise. These blackboard is the cleaner than my room, so clear and easy to follow through
-
Can't see why people complain on a chalkboard. From my knowledge, there isn't really any strictly better alternatives. To be quite honest, the sound of chalk on the board is actually helping me concentrate on the content better.
-
oh my god......oh professor you are awesome.......I really really like your lectures..............
-
Pretty sad that what strikes people's attention is the chalkboard...
-
I personally love a good chalkboard. Great lecture in Dynamics!
-
MIT still uses chalk boards? hahaa
